Minserv (2022) Confidential Strategic Summary Note

Executive Summary:

“Zimbabwe’s mining sector has the potential to be an engine of economic growth. To achieve this, there is a need to have good governance, implement carefully thought-out strategies, and balance short-term needs and medium- to long-term policies that are cognizant of mineral market drivers” 1. This opening statement is profound because it identifies the underlying constraint of mineral governance in Zimbabwe and suggests a careful approach to make things better and restore investor confidence.
